I wrote this waltz on a trip with Rum Ragged performing at Torngat Mountains National Park in Northern Labrador. We had an unforgettable time in one of the most stunning and remote areas of the province. However, we had to wait ten days to say our actual farewell due to a bout of thick fog which prevented us from flying. We eventually had a chance to leave by boat, travelling eighteen hours by longliner as far as Nain, then another five hours by speedboat to Hopedale. We boarded a plane and made St. John's in time to close out the Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival. There's nothing like the scenic route.
